The Kawarau Trail provides a great ride for returning or experienced riders, so let Arrowtown Bike Hire take care of the basics for you. Starting near Cromwell, finish your ride in one of the many famous Gibbston Valley wineries, or challenge yourself to make it all the way to Arrowtown.
Kawarau Gorge Explorer includes:
*Electric bike hire: Front suspension with helmet
*Transport from our Arrowtown base to our Cromwell starting point.
*Safety equipment including tubes, first aid, satellite communication device.
*Collection from the Gibbston Valley back to Arrowtown if you run out of puff.
*Queenstown and accommodation door to door transfers by arrangement.
Departs Arrowtown 9am. On the trail and riding by 10am. Aprox 35km of riding depending where you finish. Gibbston to Arrowtown shuttles available from 1.30pm.Although not technical riding, the trail is a remote and challenging, requiring riders to be fully independent and self sufficient. This includes carrying water and food, warm clothing and have the experience to repair your bicycle if required. No rider assistance, or vehicle access is available through the central section.
